Quality Control Inspector

We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team of quality professionals. In this role, you will support our team in providing the highest level of product satisfaction to our expanding customer base.

The Quality Control Inspector Responsibilities include:

  • In-Process inspection of various components utilizing associated criteria and work instruction.
  • Final Inspection of finished products ensuring conformance to specification.
  • Documenting each inspection result by completing inspection reports and logs.
  • Identifying and documenting nonconformances and opportunities for improvement.
  • Working closely with Managers and Supervisors to increase knowledge base associated with the industry.
  • Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by following the standards, policies and procedures set forth by the company.
Maintenance Worker

Maintenance Worker

Status: Full-Time

General Maintenance Worker

Butler Parachute Systems, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Full-Time General Maintenance Worker to assist with installation, maintenance, and light general repair duties for facilities. Some janitorial duties to include emptying trash and recyclables, sweeping, etc. Applicant should have a basic understanding of maintenance work and be able to accurately read a ruler.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
  • Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
  • Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
  • Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
  • Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
  • General electrical skills.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to accurately read a ruler.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Related experience preferred.
  • On-the-job training offered.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods standing and walking.
  • Must be physically able to climb stairs, ladders, bend, stoop, or crawl into awkward spaces.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

Machinist

Status: Full-Time

Job Summary:

The Machinist will operate machine tools to fabricate and manufacture machine parts.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Operates fabrication machinery to produce parts used in manufacturing processes.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and specifications for parts.
  • Selects the appropriate cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials to be used on machines.
  • Examines and measures completed units and parts to identify any defects and to ensure units conform with predetermined specifications; adjusts machine controls to resolve production errors.
  • Inspects machinery for any needed repairs; performs minor repairs within expertise.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety of work area.
  • Complies with applicable safety standards and regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to operate various types of machine tools to perform progressive machining.
  • Ability to read blueprints and plans.
  • Excellent mechanical skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Vocational/technical school training and apprenticeship required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and bending required.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.

Engineering Intern (Paid)

Salary: $15.00 - $25.00

Status: Part-time

We are seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience in mechanical and aerospace engineeringCAD design, and manufacturing processes.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with CAD drafting and 3D modeling (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Support engineering design, product development, and testing
  • Work with technical drawings, blueprints, and design documentation
  • Assist with engineering analysis and calculations
  • Help maintain engineering records, samples, and materials
  • Provide troubleshooting support for engineering projects
  • Collaborate with engineers on multiple design and manufacturing projects

What We’re Looking For

  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
  • Experience or coursework in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Interest in product design, manufacturing, or aerospace systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team-based engineering environment
  • Good communication skills and willingness to learn
