Sewing Machine Operator

Salary: Depends on Experience

Status: Full-time (40 Hours) + Full Benefits

Quality Control Inspector

We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team of quality professionals. In this role, you will support our team in providing the highest level of product satisfaction to our expanding customer base.

The Quality Control Inspector Responsibilities include:

  • In-Process inspection of various components utilizing associated criteria and work instruction.
  • Final Inspection of finished products ensuring conformance to specification.
  • Documenting each inspection result by completing inspection reports and logs.
  • Identifying and documenting nonconformances and opportunities for improvement.
  • Working closely with Managers and Supervisors to increase knowledge base associated with the industry.
  • Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by following the standards, policies and procedures set forth by the company.

Quality Control Supervisor

Status: Full-Time

Job Summary:

The Quality Control Supervisor supports the implementation and maintenance of the organization’s quality management system, ensuring compliance with regulatory and certification standards. This role oversees daily quality control activities, assists with internal and external audits, and drives improvements in product and process quality through frontline engagement and continuous improvement efforts. The QC Supervisor works closely with production teams to uphold quality standards and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily quality control activities to ensure production meets established standards for quality, cost, and safety.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the Company’s quality management system, including documentation of procedures, work instructions, and inspection protocols.
  • Support the creation, implementation, and oversight for in-process inspections and final inspections, including sampling procedures.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Production teams to uphold quality standards across raw materials, in-process work, outsourced operations, finished goods, and warranty returns.
  • Supervise quality control staff, including scheduling, task assignment, training, and performance feedback, in alignment with Company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Assist Manager with internal and external audits conducted by customers and regulatory agencies, ensuring readiness and compliance.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and accountability in daily operations, promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Foster cross-functional teamwork and communication to resolve quality issues and drive process enhancements.
  • Train team members on quality procedures, updates, and best practices, identifying opportunities for skill development.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, vendors, and customers to support quality-related initiatives.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental goals.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent resident (International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirement)

Skills and Requirements:

  • Understanding of ISO 9001: 2015 Certification
  • Ability to motivate and direct subordinates
  • Ability to read, write and follow written and verbal instructions in English (Bilingual a plus)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and other specifications
  • Knowledge of statistical tools and techniques of Quality Management Systems and Quality Assurance operations
  • Team oriented and possess flexibility and adaptability
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Advanced computer skills specifically in Excel and SharePoint

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods in front of a computer as necessary
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods as necessary
  • Must be able to lift-up to 40 pounds at times

Experience:

  • Quality control: 3 years Required
  • Supervising: 2 years Preferred

Drafting Technician

Status: Full-Time

Job Summary:
The Drafting Technician will be responsible for working directly with Engineers to provide any required support. The person in this role will perform computer aided drafting (CAD) and design assignments of proposed engineering and operations related projects, tracks and maintains the records related to those assignments, and carries out general office functions for Engineering.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Design and build models
  • Apprentice under Engineer to learn the design
  • Ensure equipment is organized and well maintained
  • Read and markup print and work close with Engineering
  • Maintain and organize product samples
  • Provide troubleshooting support as needed for Engineering
  • Utilize latest design software and drawing tools to accurately render and communicate designs; plans and designs other necessary and related systems and structures
  • Perform analysis and calculations according to project requirements
  • Coordinate with Engineers regarding model accuracy, drafting standards and design documentation
  • Prepare project documentation for client submittal
  • Provide timely technical assistance
  • Handle multiple projects and/or tasks simultaneously
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Vaccination Requirement: All BPS employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, subject to such exemptions as required by law
  • All BPS positions require U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card)

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong project skills

Education and Experience:

  • AAS degree in related field preferred, or equivalent work experience will be considered
  • AutoCAD: 1-3 years
  • SolidWorks or solid modeling: 1 year

Since 1979, Butler Parachutes has been a global leading manufacturer in the Parachute Industry. As a growing business, we are seeking a Materials Coordinator to help oversee the large growth in incoming raw materials. In this role, you will help develop and apply strong organizational systems that allow for traceability of all materials and corresponding documentation. This will lead to Production having the materials they need at the right time, eliminating bottlenecks in the Production process and creating a more robust manufacturing program.

Job Summary:

The Materials Coordinator handles and controls raw materials including dispensing and sampling operations. Responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials to production and ensuring the correct inventory levels are maintained. Additional duties include receiving goods from suppliers, full circle material documentation, raw material sampling, inventory control, dispensing, packaging and labeling of finished product. Prepares and maintains documentation for all internal and external transactions on computer and within Butler’s filing system. They perform all duties as outlined in QSM and Operating Procedures
