GENERAL NOTES ON BPS STANDARD SERIES PARACHUTES:
The Standard Series Parachutes offer a container product range that is roughly comparable to our competitors and is available with any of our canopies, all of which are vastly superior to the competitors.
The most common canopy selection with the Standard Series is one of the Butler LoPo canopies,
Each complete parachute assembly comes packed and ready for use.
Each complete parachute assembly comes with a carrying bag to protect the parachute.
Each parachute component sold by Butler Parachute Systems has a five-year warranty.
GENERAL NOTES ON BPS CUSTOM SERIES PARACHUTES:
Not all canopies are available with all pack sizes.
Special sizes can be made for a minimum pattern charge of $150.
SPECIFIC NOTES ON BPS WARBIRD SEATPACKS:
All Warbird Seatpack parachutes include a B12 snap w/adjustable V-ring on the chest and leg straps and an adjustable horizontal back strap (HBS).
The usual back cushion on the Warbird seatpack is 1.5" thick (high density open cell foam) - you may specify ½", 1½" or 2" back cushion for the Warbird seatpack at no additional charge.
The normal seat cushion is 3" thick (laminated of 3 different densities of Conforä slow response foam). You may specify different foam types or densities at no additional charge.
Most US military seat pack parachutes are 15" wide x 13" front-to-rear and our 15" x 13" packs are designed as a direct replacement for military seat packs in many applications. For many aircraft, another size may better prevent the parachute from sliding around in the seat and will be more comfortable.
There are dozens of different seats shapes in military aircraft but most of these will accept the 15" x 13" seat; however, we specialize in custom fitting the chute to the aircraft and user which will result in a significant increase in user comfort. Many aircraft specific versions are available - call to discuss your requirements.
Not all canopies are available with all pack sizes. Special sizes can be made for a minimum pattern charge of $150.
All complete assemblies include carrying bag.
SPECIFIC NOTES ON BPS CHAIRPACKS:
All chair parachutes come standard with a gray ripple velour on the backpad and shoulder yoke.
The "101-Series" Chairpack is basically a back type parachute with the bottom flap extended.
All models of the "101-Series" Chairpack taper from thickest at the shoulders to thinest under seat.
The "101-Series" Chairpack is available in 12", 14", 16", and 18" widths in any length up to 42".
The "102-Series" Chairpack is basically a seat type parachute with the top flap extended around the buttocks and part way up the back to form a lumbar support.
The "102-Series" Chairpack is currently available in only one size. 16" wide x 16"fr (seat section) + 12" up back x 2"t (front edge)/tapers to 0" at mid-back. The seat section is thickest at the forward edge and rapidly tapers toward the back edge and transitions to the back pad section which forms a nice lumbar support.
The minimum pattern charge for the "102-Series" Chairpack is $250.
